On an Ann Rayndic tangent…
Schools, at least here, teach people to move when a bell rings, be used to being locked up for 8 hours a day, be to another location by the time another bell rings, beyond the locked gated building, a layer of fences maintains the mass of educating youth.
List as many of the majors available in college you remember.
Now, list the top 100 richest people you know names of.
How many of the people on that list were in ANY of the majors you just thought of?
Students aren’t taught how to become successful, they are taught how to be used, taught how to become the backbone of society, and be happy with it.
Now this may seem like the beginning of a long rant, but its not. I will counter my own independent freedom shouting with a sensible even more absurd line of thought.
Even should everyone you know go and attempt to aspire to the zenith of their own being. Of the marginal percentage that DO go for it and make their own company or start their own profiting website or go and follow their dreams, 66% or so survive the first year. So if only the adventitious go for it and 50% of them fail in 4 years, its probably for the better than even more don’t make the attempt and fall into line every day listening for the bell for when to go to lunch, and the next one for when to go home.
I will not make the argument, I will present the works that do it better than I can. Read everything by Ann Rand, then read the greater written works of Andrew Carnegie. (Think and Grow Rich, The Law of Success)
Come back and we’ll discuss.
