The egg rolling off the counter is because of the sudden change in speed of the given object.

As long as it was constant and within a reasonable rate of change it wasn’t precieved as changing but when the change in velocity is too large suddenly it catches your attention.

The next step is to start dropping that rate of change value down so that even the slightest of motion is caught.

The next excersize is then to filter them back again so it does not cause distraction in daily life, while still being aware of what those motions are and caused by.

This is the warriors mindset, everything is precieved but only actual threats are noticed.

Have you ever felt trapped in your own skin? Like you just can’t quite reach that next level, or can’t ever loose that last 10 pounds, can’t seem to achieve that which you want so desperately? You’ll be sparring and you can see what’s happening, figured it out on the fly, having never seen this exsct sequence unfold before and know how and where to react, but can’t the body is incapable of responding at the rate you require it. You long to be able to let the spirit rip apart form this slow heavy flesch and act to be able to do at teh speed of thought not the encumbered speed of meat covered bone held in a skin sack. But we all know how to overcome that one, either train harder to make the physical body meet the requirements we are focing ourselves to, or train smarter and learn to edjudicate scenarios faster and farther ahead of time. But not all problems are so easliy overcame. (I physicaly heard the groan of everyone thinking about how hard either of those options are, yes I understand I do it every day) Some issues are moreĀ intangibleĀ and not so easliy effected by training.

I’ve found that so much of training and what comes out of training is mindset, I’ve also heard it called perspective or mood. More than just happy or sad, more like content vs turbulent.
